Thanking God For Joy
You see, one of the prominent and immediate blessings of the Holy Ghost upon us is the provision of Joy. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Joy, and He is always quick to give expression to this reality in the life of every believer, irrespective of what and where they are.
As humans, we are creatures in need of constant help from God to thrive in this earth without plunging into misery. And since God is aware of how bad the world has deteriorated due to sin (and how gloominess and pain have become natural), He placed His Joy in our hearts, so we can always rejoice irrespective of what is going on around us. God loves seeing us joyful at all times.
It is delightful to know that the LORD is very thoughtful about our pleasantness and pleasure at all times - independent of the occurrences in this imperfect world. God keeps insisting on His children living heaven on earth! He is an amazing and thoughtful Father who didn't forget us down here to deal with our issues alone.
Thanking God For His Peace
As children of God, God has blessed us with peace in our individual lives. He didn't only admonished us to live a peaceable live, but He had also been helping us experience true and genuine peace and rest on different fronts, even in a turbulent world.
Peace means a lot to the LORD, as it constitutes a right atmosphere where His perfect Will easily thrives. So, the LORD is also working hard to ensure our society is filled with peace, despite all the enemy is doing to bring chaos and problems. Indeed, we should always be thankful to God for His Hand that is preventing our world from experiencing uncontrollable chaos that would have see almost all humans in this planet devoid of life, and in a state of complete helplessness and hopelessness.
Really, God's peace is peaceful.
Ever since death crept into our world due to the sin of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, death has been a terrible master to the average human. Death was empowered by sin to cut off the life of anyone that permits its operations either knowing or unknowingly. And indeed, death has killed a whole lot of people, hindering them from becoming all that God has destined for them.
Since people who are much better than us are dead and even forgotten, it is wisdom then to always give God praise for preserving our own lives to this day. Many of those dead today are much more careful (and healthier) than many of us still alive today. We are still alive because the LORD graciously gave us the Gift of Life.
Whenever we wake up to see a new day, let us thank the LORD, the Good Giver of Life, for His gift of life.
Except the LORD keeps the city, the watchmen stays awake in vain, because safety belongs to the LORD. Are there not several prominent world leaders who were assassinated while serving, despite having numerous well trained security officers all around them?
So, of a truth, the LORD, Who is our Rock and Shield, has been ensuring our safety and security, and He never sleeps nor slumbers. He has hidden His own children under the shadow of His wings, and we shall fear no evil.
We are confident of the fact that no evil will come near our dwellings, even as we won't walk into the traps of evil. We are grateful for His Hand of protection even in an unsafe world. Our security is in the LORD.
In a world currently ravaged by poverty and complete lack, God has been blessing His own children with prosperity. Indeed, we are not lacking anything good, as He keeps feeding our mouths with good and pleasant things.
God has graciously opened several channels and streams to bring material resources to us, so we can enjoy life with our loved ones (and also be empowered to partner with Him to enforce His perfect Will upon the surface of the earth). What great blessings! He keeps blessings us via our works and jobs; by getting favours from others; and so on!
Blessed be the caring Father who takes great delight in the prosperity of His children!
God's blessings are multifaceted. One of the integral expressions of His blessings is that He sets us into families and blesses us with loved ones that we can do life together with. None of us is destined to live a life of misery of being all alone and all lonely without those to share love with.
So, if you have loved ones all around you, you should thank the LORD for the gift of people. It's a blessing indeed to give love and receive love. It's a blessing from God to have people who you care about, and who cares about you in return. This is one of God's prominent strategies to save us from misery, unfulfillment, and loneliness.
God is good who is always mindful of our pleasantness in all ramifications.
Good health is a big blessing from the LORD. There are folks who are much richer than some of us, and are even more mindful of their health, but are currently devoid of good health. Therefore, if you are hale, healthy and full of life, you should be always thankful to God.
Sickness and diseases were never God's Will for us. They were simply part of the results and wages of sin in the earth. God never gets sick, and there are no diseases in heaven. Hence, God has always been active on securing us from terrible sicknesses and diseases which can harm our bodies and even bring death. Sicknesses are hindrances to living the divine and glorious life the LORD has prepared for us.
And while it is important to take good care of ourselves and health, the truth remains that good health is a gift from God - a prominent expression of His love towards us.
